The 16" cold hammer forged barrel is manufactured from Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a 1:7 twist rate optimized for modern 5.56 NATO ammunition. Despite the lightweight profile, the barrel features full chrome lining for extended service life and mid-length gas system for smooth, reliable cycling. The barrel undergoes mil-spec heavy phosphate coating and is both HP (high-pressure) and MPI (magnetic particle inspection) tested to ensure absolute reliability. The pinned low-profile gas block is CNC machined from 4140 hardened steel with mil-spec heavy phosphate coating.

Daniel Defense's MFR 15.0 (Modular Float Rail) handguard provides 15 inches of M-LOK attachment real estate while maintaining a slim profile that promotes natural grip ergonomics. CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with Type III hard coat anodizing, the MFR system offers exceptional rigidity despite minimal weight. The complete upper includes DD's GRIP-N-RIP charging handle and M16-profile bolt carrier group with chrome lining and properly staked gas key.
