I'm AB, an avid shooter with 9+ years of shooting experience, including competition shooting. I've built 10+ AR-pattern rifles and several handgun platforms, fully kitting them out for various use cases from home defense to competition to suppressed night shooting.

I created Rifle Configurator because I love firearms and AR-pattern rifles in particular. I wanted to document and share the knowledge I've accumulated over the years, and create an interactive tool for my own use since I love building out ARs. What started as a personal project turned into something I thought other shooters might find useful.

What We Do

We provide tools and content to help shooters make informed decisions about their builds. Our interactive configurator lets you explore component compatibility, compare specifications, and plan builds before purchasing. Our guides and articles cover everything from beginner fundamentals to advanced topics like suppressor integration and night vision compatibility.

Editorial Standards

We aim for accuracy and practical value over hype. We don't make unverified marketing claims, call products "combat proven" without evidence, or recommend gear we wouldn't use ourselves. When products have known issues, we mention them. When information is uncertain, we say so rather than speculate.
