The Premier Hybrid Concealment Vest is the only vest on this list that scales from concealable IIIA to rifle-rated III+ without buying a second carrier. The base configuration ships with removable Kevlar soft armor panels (NIJ Certified IIIA / HG2) and 8x10 plate pockets front and back. Drop a pair of Premier Nexus ICW rifle plates into the pockets and the vest steps up to III+ in-conjunction-with coverage; remove them and it goes back to under-shirt concealability.
NIJ 0101.06 / HG2 certification covers the soft armor against 9mm, .357 Magnum, .357 SIG, .44 Magnum, and 12 gauge shotgun threats. The HG2 designation aligns with the new 0101.07 Handgun Level 2 rating, which is the modern equivalent of IIIA. 12-point adjustability is the carrier's other headline feature — shoulder straps, side cinches, and waist all adjust independently to size the vest from S through 4XL. Weight runs 4.6-6.4 lb depending on size, all Kevlar made in the USA.
