Vertx
Low-profile stretch-fleece hoodie with vertical pass-throughs hidden inside the hand pockets for discreet appendix carry, cut to wear like an everyday midlayer.
The Vertx Firebase Hoody solves a different problem than the canvas and softshell jackets: it conceals a handgun in a garment nobody reads as concealment wear. The shell is a 47% nylon, 36% polyester, 17% spandex stretch fleece that moves like an athletic hoodie, with an AbrasionGuard lining reinforcing the hood and shoulders where a sling or pack would otherwise wear the fabric.
Carry access comes from vertical zippered pass-throughs hidden inside the hand pockets. Reach into the pocket as you would on any hoodie and the zipper opens a path to an appendix (AIWB) holster underneath, so the draw never exposes the gun until it clears. Because the access is internal and the cut is a standard civilian fit, the Firebase prints and signals far less than a structured jacket, which is the entire reason to choose a hoodie for carry.
This is a midlayer, not a shell. Vertx publishes no weather rating, so the Firebase is for temperature management and concealment, not rain. Worn over a base layer or under a shell it bridges the warm-weather and shoulder-season gap where a full jacket would be too much coat and too obvious a tell.
