XS Big Dot Tritium Front Sight (Remington 870 Pedestal Bead)

The XS Big Dot Tritium Front Sight is the standard front-sight upgrade for Remington pedestal-bead shotguns and the answer to two factory problems at once. First, the factory 870 brass bead is acquired slower than any of the modern alternatives because the eye has to find a small, low-contrast dot against the rib. The Big Dot is a large, high-visibility orange dot that catches the eye instantly and centers naturally on the target. Second, the factory bead is invisible in low light, which matters for any defensive use case. The tritium insert glows green in total darkness for 10+ years, so a Big Dot front sight is just as fast at 0300 as it is at noon.

This pedestal-bead Big Dot installs over the existing 0.125-0.140 inch front bead using two-part epoxy such as JB Weld. It is not the same as XS's plain-barrel, vent-rib, or ghost-ring shotgun sight SKUs. Confirm your bead diameter and pedestal style before ordering. XS also makes non-tritium and other shotgun variants for shooters who want the speed gain without paying for the tritium element.

This is a stand-alone front-sight upgrade for compatible pedestal-bead Remington shotguns. It improves daylight visibility with a large 0.188-inch Optic Orange face and adds a green tritium center for low-light reference, but it does not turn the shotgun into a ghost-ring setup by itself.

Verify your front sight pedestal before ordering. This is the Remington shotgun pedestal-bead version, not every 870 front-sight system. If your shotgun does not have a 0.125-0.140 inch bead on a pedestal, use the matching XS plain-barrel, vent-rib, or ghost-ring front-sight SKU instead.
