XS Sights R3D 2.0 Now Fits the PSA Dagger Micro

XS Sights added a dedicated R3D 2.0 night sight set for the PSA Dagger Micro on July 8, 2026. The Dagger Micro is the first non-Glock pistol to get a first-party Micro-specific dovetail cut in the R3D 2.0 line, replacing the workaround of running the Glock 43X/48 slimline set on the Micro. MSRP is $128.12 for either the green or orange Glow Dot variant.

The sight is a traditional three-dot notch-and-post configuration. The front sight carries a Swiss-made tritium lamp roughly 30 percent larger than the two rear dots, surrounded by a photoluminescent Glow Dot ring that charges under any ambient light. The rear is a serrated notch with two tritium dots and a blackout backdrop that keeps the front-sight focus dominant. Body material is CNC-machined steel bar stock manufactured in Fort Worth, Texas, finished in black nitride for corrosion resistance. XS specifies a drop-in dovetail fit; no filing or hammering required, though a sight pusher is still the correct tool for install.

The PSA Dagger Micro is the value pick in the daily-carry sub-compact bracket in 2026: a Glock 43X/48 slimline clone at roughly half the price of a factory 43X MOS, with a Shield RMSc / Holosun K optic footprint on every slide. The correct default for most concealed carriers is green. Green reads faster in the widest range of light conditions because it sits close to 555 nm, the wavelength the human eye is most sensitive to in low light. When you transition from bright daylight into a dim building or shadow, a green Glow Dot recovers its visible brightness before an orange one does. Green also has the largest body of aftermarket accessory precedent; every major tritium-plus-photoluminescent sight system defaults to green.

Orange has two situations where it wins outright. Against a green foliage backdrop, an orange front sight prints hard contrast that a green one loses. Against a bright indoor background with warm color temperature (incandescent, sodium vapor, warm LED), orange also sits more prominently in the sight picture than green does. The Glow Dot ring itself is the workhorse feature. It is a photoluminescent (glow-in-the-dark) compound wrapped around a Swiss-made tritium lamp. In daylight, the ring is what the eye actually picks up; the tritium is invisible. In deep dark, the tritium takes over and the ring gradually loses charge over several hours.
