Overview

The Noxon Anark is the first light from Modlite's Noxon EDC sub-brand, released in early 2026 at $130. It abandons the scout-light form factor entirely in favor of a flat, pocket-friendly body with a dedicated high button and a dedicated low button, no mode cycling, no long-press menus. High is 1,000 lumens at 18,000 candela for 2.5 hours. Low is 80 lumens at 1,000 candela for 17 hours.

A side-mounted weather-sealed USB-C port charges the internal cell. A reversible pocket clip supports bezel-up or bezel-down. The lockout is triggered by holding both buttons for three seconds and is confirmed by a red blink. The interface is explicitly a response to the common complaint that premium EDC lights still ship with cycling UIs.

The Anark is the easiest Modlite to recommend for buyers who want the brand experience without the $300 weapon-light price of the PLHv2 handheld. Throw is modest at 18K candela, so this is a close-to-medium range ID light, not a reach-out thrower.

Key Features

  • Dedicated high and low buttons, no mode cycling

  • Reversible high-tension pocket clip, bezel up or down
  • 3-second two-button lockout with red-blink confirmation

Pros

  • +Simplest UI in the sub-$150 EDC class

  • +Genuine Modlite build quality at a mid-tier price
  • +Light enough for all-day pocket carry at 3.5 oz
  • +Lockout prevents accidental activation in a bag

Cons

  • 18K candela limits throw past 75 yards
  • No momentary-only tactical interface
  • Internal cell means you cannot swap a fresh battery in the field
  • Still newer product, long-term durability data is thin
