Nordic Components MXT +2 Benelli M2 Extension

The Nordic Components MXT +2 extension is the dominant capacity upgrade for the Benelli M2 platform, used heavily in 3-gun competition where the M2 is one of the most popular open-class shotguns. The +2 tube takes the M2 Tactical from 5+1 to 7+1 of 12 gauge 2.75" shells, providing meaningful capacity gain without the bulk of larger extensions.

The MXT system is modular: tubes are available from +1 through +9 rounds, all using the same Benelli M1/M2/SBE extension nut. For competition shooters, longer tubes (+5 to +7) are common, with a barrel clamp added for stability under sustained fire. Construction is anodized 6061 aluminum for weight savings and corrosion resistance, with an included extended spring tuned for reliable feeding through the M2's inertia-driven action.

Installation is tool-less and reversible: unscrew the factory tube cap, slide the extension on, transfer the included spring, and reinstall the cap. The Nordic extension nut also fits the Benelli M1, Super Black Eagle, and Breda auto shotguns, making it a versatile investment if a shooter expands their Benelli collection. For the M2 Tactical specifically, the +2 is the most common choice for defensive use, while 3-gun setups typically run +4 or longer with a clamp.
