Nordic Components MXT +2 Mossberg 930/940 Extension

The Nordic Components MXT +2 extension is the standard capacity upgrade for the Mossberg 930 and 940 semi-auto platforms. Nordic Components is the OEM supplier for the factory extensions on the Mossberg 940 JM Pro Series, which ships with Nordic +4 (22" barrel) or +5 (24" barrel) tubes already installed. The aftermarket MXT line uses the same engineering, materials, and modular architecture as the factory parts, so swapping or upgrading is straightforward.

The +2 tube adds two rounds to the factory configuration, bringing the standard 940 Tactical from 7+1 to 9+1. For the 930 SPX with the factory 7+1 capacity, the +2 takes it to 9+1 of 12 gauge 2.75" shells. Construction is anodized 6061 aluminum, and the included extended spring is tuned for the longer tube to maintain reliable feeding under semi-auto cycling.

Important: Nordic specifically does NOT recommend using their HD spring in the 930/940. The Mossberg semi-auto shell stop is sensitive to magazine spring tension, and the standard MXT spring is the correct match. Substituting a heavier spring can cause failure-to-feed or shell stop disengagement issues. The MXT system is modular; users can swap tube length (+1 through +9) using the same Mossberg extension nut, with a barrel clamp recommended for tubes longer than +4.
