Overview
Ambidextrous SAO safeties are consumables on a gun that gets shot hard, and the P226-X levers are sold one side at a time. The left lever, part 1202084-02-R, is the side carrying the slide stop catch; the right, 1202076-02-R, is the plain side. A pair means ordering both.
Fitment is narrow and worth reading twice. These are X-series parts. Older SAO P226 models take a different lever and are excluded outright, so an SAO Legion or a pre-X single-action gun is the wrong host even though the frame looks close.
Safety geometry is also a box question on an X-series competition gun. Wide SAO levers are one of the things that push a P226X past the IDPA box gauge regardless of what magwell is on the frame, so if a box fit is marginal, the safety is one of the few parts with any give in it.
