Beretta A400 Solo

The Beretta A400 Solo is the waterfowl gun Beretta built to sit between the A300 Ultima and the A400 Xtreme Plus. It launched July 2026 at $1,549 for Black Synthetic and $1,649 in camo, which is $600 under the Xtreme Plus camo MSRP, and it earns that slot with the B-LINK Pro gas system: Beretta rates it at 36% faster cycling and 46% cleaner running than its previous gas systems, across everything from light target loads to heavy magnums.

Recoil management comes from Kick-Off Plus, a stock-mounted damper system Beretta rates at up to a 40% reduction in felt recoil, paired with the B-Uffer recoil pad. The barrel is cold hammer-forged Steelium with an 80mm double forcing cone and a 7x7 stepped rib, and it ships with extended OptimaChoke HP tubes. The B-Lok magazine cap locks within a 60-degree turn so the gun comes apart for cleaning without tools.

The chamber is 3 inches, not 3.5, which is the deliberate line between this gun and the Xtreme Plus. For hunters shooting standard 3-inch steel and bismuth, that costs nothing and saves weight: the Solo runs 7.5 lbs unloaded with an aerospace-grade aluminum receiver. Stock geometry adjusts through shims and spacers, and the safety is reversible for left-handed shooters.
