Beretta
Premium competition variant of the M9-pattern pistol with Brigadier slide and match trigger
0-10 Scale Across 8 Axes
The Beretta 92X Performance is the factory competition version of the legendary M9/92 series. While the standard Beretta 92 served as the US military's sidearm for over 30 years, the 92X Performance is a different animal: a Brigadier slide with enlarged locking lugs, a skeletonized steel trigger, extended magazine release, target sights, and a Nistan-finished barrel for improved accuracy and corrosion resistance.
The DA/SA trigger is the star. Single-action breaks clean at approximately 4 pounds with minimal overtravel and a short, positive reset. Double-action pull is smooth at around 10 pounds, benefiting from decades of refinement to the 92-series trigger linkage. The skeletonized steel trigger shoe reduces weight and provides a flat face for consistent finger placement.
At 44.7 ounces, the 92X Performance uses weight as a feature. The steel frame and Brigadier slide absorb recoil, making follow-up shots noticeably faster than polymer-framed alternatives. The 18+1 capacity from proven 92-series magazines provides ample rounds for any stage. This is a competition and range gun, not a carry piece.
