The A3 Industries HDA3 is a Kuna-specific folding brace developed in partnership with Haga Defense. It bolts directly to the Kuna's rear trunnion with no separate 1913 adapter, which eliminates the stack-up slop universal braces introduce. The hinge is nitride-coated 17-4 stainless steel, and the body is 30% glass-filled nylon.
The HDA3 folds left with a 3.5-degree downward cant, clearing the ejection port and optic when stowed. The aluminum adapter mates to the trunnion with supplied hardware; the brace itself is purchased separately. A3 lists the Gear Head Works Tailhook MOD1, Tailhook MOD1C, and A3 Steady Brace as compatible brace options.
