Rugged Sub9

The Rugged Sub9 is purpose-built for 9mm PCCs and submachine guns rather than pistols. Where modular cans split the difference between handgun and carbine duty, the Sub9 commits to the carbine side: it is full-auto and belt-fed rated and tuned specifically for the sustained fire that gums up lighter pistol cans. The all-17-4-stainless baffle stack and tube are built to take the heat that a subgun dumps into a suppressor.

The Sub9 runs a HUB 1.375x24 rear thread and ships with Rugged's Universal 3 Lug (RU3) mount, a Bixler-style taper-lock 3-lug that locks up more concentrically than spring-style 3-lug systems and indexes onto HK-spec 3-lug hosts like the MP5 and SP5. The HUB rear also opens it to direct-thread and other HUB mounts for AR9 and Scorpion hosts. Assembled length stays compact at 6.8 inches with the mount, 6.6 inches without, weighing 14.1 ounces mounted.

Beyond 9mm, Rugged rates the Sub9 for .300 BLK subsonic, 8.6 BLK, 350 Legend, 9x39mm, .357 Magnum, and .38 Special, making it a flexible host for pistol-caliber and subsonic carbine builds. For a shooter whose primary use is a suppressed MP5, AR9, or other subgun, the Sub9 is the more durable choice than a modular pistol can pressed into PCC service.
