The Beretta 92X RDO has no single optic footprint. Beretta mills the 90 Series RDO pocket into the slide and the red dot mounts on a plate that bolts into that pocket, so the plate is what sets the footprint. Beretta's own plates cover the two biggest families: a Trijicon-footprint plate for the RMR, the SRO, the RCR and the Holosun 507C and 508T, and a Leupold-footprint plate for the DeltaPoint Pro and the dots built on it. The Toni System 92 Series RDO interface kit widens that range from a single box, reaching the Shield RMSc and Holosun K micros and the enclosed Holosun EPS alongside the RMR and DeltaPoint patterns.

RDO is the part of the name doing the work. A 92FS or a plain 92X slide has no pocket and no mounting holes, so there is nothing for a 90 Series plate to bolt to and the only routes are a milling service or an optic-cut slide. Plates, on the other hand, are a family part rather than a model part: the same 90 Series RDO plates are listed for the M9A4, the 92XI and the 92X Performance, so a plate sold for one of those pistols is the plate for this one. Choose the pistol by whether the slide is cut, then choose the plate by footprint.
