Sellier & Bellot
Czech-manufactured 180gr FMJ at 1,164 fps. Sits between the underpressured American Eagle and the full-power Blazer Brass on velocity, making it a reasonable middle-ground training load when AE10A is too soft and Blazer is sold out.
Sellier & Bellot 10mm 180gr is the Czech-manufactured budget training load that sits in the middle ground on 10mm velocity: 1,164 fps and 543 ft-lbs of energy, about 36 fps under the Blazer Brass 5221 and a solid 134 fps over the Federal AE10A. It's neither full-power nor obviously downloaded, which makes it a reasonable training load when Blazer Brass is sold out or pricing is unfavorable.
S&B has been manufacturing pistol ammunition since 1825, and the modern factory at Vlasim produces ammunition under CIP (European) pressure standards, which run slightly under SAAMI (American) spec for some cartridges. The brass case is boxer-primed and reloadable, the FMJ bullet feeds cleanly in tight-tolerance 10mm pistols, and 50-round boxes are widely available at retail.
The buyer-confusion warning applies here too: SB10A still doesn't replicate the recoil impulse of a full-power Federal HST 200gr defensive load. It's closer than AE10A, but if you want training that matches your carry, Blazer Brass at 1,200 fps is the better choice. Use SB10A as a backup training option when supply or pricing makes the Blazer unavailable. Avoid using it as your sole training round if you carry full-power defensive ammo.
