Overview
Sellier & Bellot 300 AAC Blackout 124gr FMJ is a practical training load for shooters who want supersonic .300 BLK range ammunition without paying defensive-ammo prices. The SB300BLKA load uses a standard lead-core full-metal-jacket bullet with a brass case and is intended for range, match, and competition use rather than hunting or defense.
Sellier & Bellot lists the load at 2,165 fps and 1,291 ft-lbs from a 16 inch test barrel, with a 0.379 G1 ballistic coefficient and 2.165 inch cartridge length. That puts it in the same general supersonic practice role as other 120-125gr .300 Blackout range loads while keeping the bullet construction simple and non-expanding.
Because this is FMJ ammunition, it is the wrong choice for defensive terminal performance or deer hunting. Its job is confirming reliability, zeroing around a known training load, and getting affordable trigger time with a .300 Blackout rifle or pistol.
