Vaultek
Lockable polymer travel case with a built-in keypad lock, optional biometrics, and steel security cable for safe-storage and airline travel.
The Vaultek LifePod 2.0 is the answer when "lockable hard case" needs to mean a real lock, not a padlock hasp. Its T3 polymer blend shell carries a built-in capacitive keypad lock, with an optional biometric module, so the lock is part of the case rather than an accessory you can forget. An included steel security cable lets you tether it to a vehicle seat frame or fixed structure, which helps defeat grab-and-go theft. Safe-storage requirements vary by state, so confirm whether your local law calls for a locked container, a safety device, or another approved method.
The interior holds a full-size handgun up to 9.25" long, and a removable tray creates a second stackable layer for magazines, documents, or a backup. An interior LED lights the contents in a dark glovebox or hotel safe. The shell is water-resistant, dustproof, airtight, and floats, and the keypad runs up to a year on a 9V alkaline battery, with two backup manual keys and a micro-USB power port as fail-safes if the battery dies.
At about $200, the LifePod 2.0 costs more than a foam-lined Pelican because it is doing a different job: secure access control, not just impact protection. It meets TSA guidelines for flying with a handgun and works as a locked container where state law accepts a lockbox, all without juggling a separate padlock. Confirm your local requirements before relying on any single case.
