Magpul
Weather-resistant soft rifle case with RF-welded seams, Aquaguard zippers, and a MOLLE-style slotted interior.
The DAKA Soft Rifle Case is Magpul's answer to the gap between a basic padded sleeve and a hard case. The construction is the story: RF-welded seams and YKK Aquaguard zippers make the case highly weather-resistant against water and dust, which almost no soft case in this category does. If you transport rifles in open truck beds, boats, or bad weather, that protection is worth the premium on its own.
The DAKA Grit 600D shell is lighter and more flexible than 1000D Cordura while staying weather-resistant. Inside, a MOLLE-style slotted base and five DAKA gear straps let you lock down one rifle or split the space, and the lid integrates mesh pockets sized to hold up to eight magazines plus a document pocket. Three lengths, 35, 44, and 53 inches, cover carbines through full-length precision rifles.
The price is the catch. At $159 to $209 MSRP this costs three to four times a basic 600D sleeve, and it carries no backpack straps in the base configuration. You are paying for the weather resistance and the organization, not for the padding alone. For shooters who already lost a finish to a wet case, it pays for itself.
