BCM Bolt Carrier Group (IonBond/DLC)

Bravo Company Manufacturing's IonBond DLC bolt carrier group represents the company's commitment to duty-grade reliability with premium surface treatment. The carrier is machined to USGI specifications with a chrome-lined interior and features BCM's proprietary IonBond Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating. This advanced coating delivers exceptional hardness (90 Rockwell), ultra-low friction (coefficient of 0.15), and outstanding corrosion resistance that exceeds traditional phosphate and nitride finishes.

The DLC coating's primary advantage is its ability to run smoothly even in adverse conditions with minimal lubrication. The coating resists carbon buildup significantly better than standard finishes, and what carbon does accumulate wipes away easily during cleaning. The chrome-lined carrier interior and heat-treated gas key secured with grade 8 fasteners and proper staking ensure long-term durability under high round counts.

BCM's bolt assembly uses Carpenter No. 158 steel that has been shot peened for increased strength, then subjected to both high pressure testing (HPT) and magnetic particle inspection (MPI). The enhanced extractor provides improved reliability with various ammunition types.
