Overview
The RMA 1118 is the maximum-protection option in RMA's female armor line. Its 9x11 FSAPI format separates the front and rear geometry: the front receives RMA's female ultra-curve profile, while the rear uses a single curve. That distinction matters because the selectable front and rear plates are not interchangeable shapes.
Each plate weighs 7.0 pounds plus or minus 0.125 pound and measures 1 inch thick. RMA lists an alumina oxide and polyethylene construction beneath a 600D water-resistant cover with full edge protection. The product is independently tested to the NIJ 0101.06 Level IV protocol; RMA does not present the 1118 as an NIJ Compliance Testing Program listed model.
The 1118 is made to pair with the 9x11 Queen Plate Carrier. It can also fit a small Crye JPC 1.0 or 2.0, though RMA notes that the smaller plate may have room inside those bags.
