Crye JPC 2.0 Level IV Body Armor Kit (2x 1165 Gen 2)

This kit answers the most common plate-carrier buying mistake, which is ordering plates and carrier separately and getting the fit wrong. RMA pairs two of its 1165 Gen 2 lightweight Level IV plates with a Crye JPC 2.0 in size Medium, and because JPC sizing is based on plate dimensions, the Medium plates and Medium carrier are matched by definition. Plate cut is selectable at purchase: Shooter's Cut at 5.3 lb per plate or SAPI Cut at 6.1 lb.

The components are the same ones sold individually. The 1165 Gen 2 is RMA's lightest Level IV, a 99.7% HyPure alumina ceramic strike face over a Dyneema backer at 0.7 inches thick, tested to NIJ 0101.07 RF3 against .30-06 M2AP. The JPC 2.0 is the benchmark skeletal carrier with the AVS detachable flap interface. Crye publishes the JPC 2.0's weight only as just over a pound, so complete kit weight calculates to roughly 11.7 lb in Shooter's Cut or 13.3 lb in SAPI Cut using that figure plus the published per-plate weights.
