Overview
The factory B&T selector can take more thumb pressure than its short travel suggests. HBI's two replacement springs reduce the detent load without changing the selector shaft or levers. Installing both springs produces the manufacturer's stated reduction of roughly 30 percent; mixing one HBI spring with one factory spring gives an intermediate reduction of roughly 15 percent.
The springs are stainless steel with a nickel coating and fit the B&T APC, GHM, and SPC model families. They change selector effort only. They do not reduce trigger pull weight, alter the fire-control mechanism, or correct a selector that is binding because of an incompatible lower or trigger pack.
