ESS Crosshair One Ballistic Eyeshields, Clear Lens EE9014-07
The ESS Crosshair One is the entry-level model in the ESS Crossbow family and the cheapest fully mil-spec rated ballistic spectacle on this list. It uses the same lens platform as the Crossbow and Suppressor (any ESS replacement lens fits), the same TR-90 frame geometry, and ToughZone scratch-resistant stock lenses, but ships with a single lens instead of the two-lens kit.
Optical glass meets ANSI Z87.1 for high-velocity impact and MIL-PRF-32432 for ballistic fragmentation, the same dual rating family as the Crossbow. The fit and ear-pro compatibility are functionally similar. The main differences from the Crossbow are the included lens count and the absence of premium anti-fog lenses in the stock Crosshair One kit.
At about $40, the Crosshair One is the right pick for two scenarios: shooters on a strict budget who only need one all-purpose lens (gray for outdoor, clear if you shoot indoors more), and existing Crossbow owners who want a second frame to keep in the range bag, truck, or duty kit. Replacement clear or yellow lenses are inexpensive and fit, so you can effectively build a 2-lens kit for well under the price of most premium tactical eyewear.
Add the Crosshair One to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
