ESS
Entry-level model in the ESS Crossbow lens platform. Cross-compatible with Crossbow and Suppressor lenses and accessories, ANSI Z87.1 plus MIL-PRF-32432 rated, and the cheapest mil-spec ballistic spectacle on this list.
The ESS Crosshair One is the entry-level model in the ESS Crossbow family and the cheapest fully mil-spec rated ballistic spectacle on this list. It uses the same lens platform as the Crossbow and Suppressor (any ESS replacement lens fits), the same TR-90 frame geometry, and the same ClearZone FlowCoat anti-fog and anti-scratch treatment, but ships with a single lens (typically gray) instead of the two-lens kit.
Optical glass meets ANSI Z87.1 for high-velocity impact and MIL-PRF-32432 for ballistic fragmentation, the same dual rating as the Crossbow. The fit, weight, and ear-pro compatibility are functionally identical. The only meaningful differences from the Crossbow are the included lens count and the absence of some accessory packaging (no soft case in some retail SKUs).
At ~$49, the Crosshair One is the right pick for two scenarios: shooters on a strict budget who only need one all-purpose lens (gray for outdoor, clear if you shoot indoors more), and existing Crossbow owners who want a second frame to keep in the range bag, truck, or duty kit. Replacement clear or yellow lenses are inexpensive and fit, so you can effectively build a 2-lens kit for under $70.
