Cejay Engineering
IR combat-identification beacon for unit identification under NVGs. Very low profile, CR123A-powered, and a simple alternative to multi-mode helmet markers.
The Cejay Engineering Phoenix Jr. 123 IR is a compact IR-only alternative to the S&S Precision V-Lite and Manta IR beacons. It has no visible LEDs and is designed for unit identification when every team member is on NVGs. Battery is a single CR123A, listed weight is 1 oz (28 g) ready to use and 0.35 oz (10 g) without battery, and attachment is via integrated spring clip or optional Flex Mount.
Cejay is a more specialized signaling brand, so distribution is narrower than S&S. The Phoenix Jr. is typically found through specialty tactical retailers. The 123 variant runs on a single CR123A; the AA/123 variant supports both battery types at higher cost.
For a buyer choosing between the Phoenix Jr. and the S&S V-Lite Multi-Mode (which also includes IR): the Phoenix Jr. is purpose-built for IR marking and keeps operation simple. The V-Lite is more versatile, with visible colors plus IR, and slightly cheaper. General-purpose buyers may prefer the V-Lite for versatility; IR-only setups fit the Phoenix Jr.
Add the Phoenix Jr. 123 IR Beacon to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
