Overview
The S&S Precision Manta Strobe is the premium IFF strobe for helmet and kit marking. Compared to the V-Lite, the Manta has a longer signaling range, a tougher housing, one-handed operation with vibrating feedback, and a more aggressive duty cycle for active signaling rather than passive marking.
Variant selection matters: IR variants are invisible to the naked eye and useful under NVGs, overt color variants cover visible signaling, and combination variants bridge both roles. For helmet rear mounting under an NVG-equipped user, a combination variant is the most versatile.
ITAR-controlled, US-only shipment. The direct Manta Strobe package includes the Manta Webbing Adapter and uses a CR123A battery, which is not included. At $229.95 the Manta is roughly 5x the V-Lite, and the trade is justified for users who need longer signaling range, a tougher housing, or active strobe functionality rather than passive marking.
