Overview

The TASER Pulse 2 is the strongest everyday-carry choice in the civilian TASER line because it creates distance without growing into a duty-size device. Its cartridge sends two wired probes up to 15 feet and runs a 30-second electrical cycle. That gives the user time to put the device down and move to safety instead of remaining beside the threat.

The laser, mechanical sights, and LED light support a deliberate center-mass shot in poor light. The battery pack supports about 50 thirty-second cycles or one year of storage under normal conditions. Pulse 2 also accepts the cartridge family shared with the Pulse, Pulse+, Bolt, and Bolt 2, which makes spare cartridges easier to standardize.

The single-shot design is the boundary. A miss leaves contact-stun mode as the immediate backup, and contact use gives up the distance that makes the Pulse 2 worth carrying. Practice with inert targets, keep a fresh cartridge loaded, and treat pepper spray as the simpler choice when broad legal access, repeated bursts, and lower cost matter more than probe-based incapacitation.
