V-Lite Multi-Mode Personal Marker

The S&S Precision V-Lite is the standard personal IFF marker beacon. It is the small velcro-mounted blinker you see on the rear of professional helmets at night, used to identify team members and sub-teams in low-light conditions. The Multi-Mode variant adds an IR LED for use under NVGs alongside visible colors; the Multi-Color variant is visible-only with red, green, and blue LEDs.

Modes typically include steady-on, flashing strobe at 60 BPM, and a Morse-coded SOS pattern. The unit attaches via velcro hook to any helmet rear velcro panel, kit panel, or arm plate. Weight is 0.8 oz (23 g) including the battery, and the housing is sealed for moisture resistance.

The V-Lite is ITAR-controlled and ships only within the United States. Authorized dealers include TNVC, Off-Base Supply, US Tactical Supply, and a handful of SOF-focused retailers. For unit-team coordination and personal identification under NVGs, this is the foundational marker. For a brighter signaling tool with longer range, the S&S Manta Strobe ($219) is the upgrade path.
