Overview
The Ops-Core Counterweight Kit is the FAST-helmet counterpart to the Team Wendy EXFIL Counterweight Kit. Five 70g weights ship in five fabric pouches that position on the rear Velcro field and secure with custom anchors using helmet holes or longer ballistic screws. Total system weight at full load is 0.85 lb / 385 g, tunable in 70g increments by removing individual weights.
The kit uses rear Velcro for positioning plus custom anchors with existing helmet holes and longer ballistic screws for retention. For a typical FAST SF build with a PVS-14 and Wilcox G24 on the front, four of the five weights (~0.62 lb) is the usual setting. For a binocular build with a BNVD-1531 plus a Princeton Tec Charge Pro and an IR strobe, all five weights plus possibly a small extension are needed.
Note: if you order the RAILINK-enabled FAST SF, the rear-mounted Battery Pack+ acts as a counterweight in addition to powering the rail system, which reduces or eliminates the need for a separate counterweight kit. For non-RAILINK builds, this kit is the right answer.
