Dawson Precision Magwell for Staccato HD P4/P4.5 (Practical Advantage)

The Dawson Precision Practical Advantage magwell flares the grip opening on a Staccato HD P4 or P4.5 so a fresh Glock-pattern magazine funnels into the gun under speed. Machined from solid aircraft aluminum, it widens the reload window without adding meaningful weight to the steel-frame HD, and it carries the same Practical Advantage geometry Dawson runs across its 2011 and 1911 magwell line.

Fitment is specific. Dawson builds this magwell for the full-size HD P4 and the longer-slide P4.5, and the company states plainly that it will not fit the smaller HD C3.6 or HD C4X carry guns. The P4 and P4.5 feed from standard Glock 17 magazines, so the magwell pairs with the same TTI, Dawson, or Henning competition base pads that owners already run on Glock 17 mags, which keeps the reload system consistent across magazines.

External magwells are not legal in USPSA Production or Carry Optics, the two divisions most HD owners shoot, so treat this as a duty, home-defense, or Open and Limited Optics upgrade rather than a Carry Optics part. For a steel-frame HD used as a nightstand or duty gun, the faster, more forgiving reload is the payoff.
