Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger Kit for Metal Frame M&P M2.0

The Apex Flat-Faced Forward Set Trigger Kit for the Metal Frame M&P M2.0 is the competition-grade fire-control upgrade for the steel-and-aluminum side of the M&P line: the M&P9 M2.0 Competitor, the M&P Metal, and the Metal M2.0 HD. It is not the polymer-frame kit with a heavier shoe. Apex builds this version around an aluminum flat-faced shoe and a metal-frame-specific safety, because the metal-frame guns use a different frame safety geometry than the polymer pistols.

Installed as a system, the kit drops pull weight by roughly 2 pounds and cuts overall travel by about 40 percent, including a shorter reset. The forward-set geometry moves the finger contact point forward, extending reach to the trigger face for a flatter, more vertical press. Pull weight lands between roughly 3.3 and 5.5 pounds depending on which sear and trigger-return springs you install, so the same kit covers a USPSA Carry Optics gun and a duty-weight build.

The kit includes the aluminum flat-faced forward-set trigger, the metal-frame safety, the forward set sear actuator, a fully machined 2-dot sear, the Ultimate Striker Block kit, four spring options, a polymer slave pin, and a sear plunger. Apex notes that the trigger carries a fixed over-travel stop, so the factory OT stop must be removed and left out of the frame during installation to avoid interference.
