Grayguns SIG P-Series Custom Strut System

The double-action crunch on a P-Series gun is mostly the factory strut, and this is the drop-in version of the gunsmithing fix Bruce Gray has been doing to those struts for four decades. The sharp edges and tip of a factory strut drag on the mainspring through the double-action stroke; the Grayguns strut is EDM-cut, hand-finished, and heat-treated, and it fully supports the spring so it cannot bow or scrub as it compresses.

The seat matters as much as the strut. It is machined in-house from aircraft-grade aluminum and anodized, and pairing a supported spring with a proper seat is what takes friction and spring fatigue out of the system rather than just masking it. Grayguns guarantees the struts for life.

Buy this instead of the Master Spring Set, not alongside it. The kit already includes the 17 lb red and 19 lb blue mainsprings, so the tuning range is the same and the strut is the part the spring set alone cannot fix. Fitment covers the P226, P228, P229, P225-A, and P227, plus the P226-X series and E2-style or most older grips, with a separate variation for the P220. The P229C, P229C SAS, and P220 Compact are excluded.
