Powder River Precision
Complete Echelon trigger job with flat-face hybrid shoe and full spring kit. Cuts take-up by 60%, travel by 46%, reset by 20%, and drops the pull to roughly 3.5 lb.
The Powder River Precision trigger kit is the most complete drop-in fire control upgrade available for the Springfield Echelon. Unlike shoe-only options that simply swap the face of the trigger, the PRP kit ships with a hybrid flat-with-curved-tip shoe plus a complete spring set: striker spring, striker safety spring, sear spring, safety sear spring, and trigger spring. Installing the full kit cuts roughly 60% of take-up, 46% of total travel, and 20% of reset distance while dropping the pull weight from the factory 5 lb to approximately 3.5 lb.
The hybrid shoe geometry gives the finger the indexing consistency of a flat-faced trigger with a small curved lip at the tip that keeps the finger from sliding low during a fast press. That combination is what turns the Echelon into a competition-ready pistol without compromising the factory striker safety. PRP retains the double-sear mechanism and the blade safety, so the pistol keeps the passive safety features that differentiate the Echelon from the P320.
Installation requires full fire control disassembly and is not a 15-minute job. Most shooters should budget an evening or hand the work to a local armorer. A 3.5 lb pull is competition-grade and sits below most agency duty minimums, so this is an upgrade for USPSA, steel, and range shooters rather than duty officers.
