Derya MAX

The Derya MAX is a magazine-fed 12-gauge semi-automatic built on an all-new proprietary platform rather than a revision of Derya's existing DY12 and MK-12 guns. Derya designed it around the failure mode that defines the category: on mag-fed shotguns the magazine itself, not the action, is the primary source of stoppages. The MAX answers that with proprietary polymer magazines using metal feed lips and an enlarged magwell.

Operation is a curved, self-cleaning gas piston that extends into the forend and sheds carbon as it runs, which lets a single piston cycle everything from light 7/8 ounce target loads up to 3-inch magnums without swaps. Recoil is managed by a double-buffered system paired with the proprietary MAX Brake, a progressive compensator Derya credits with roughly a 20% reduction in felt recoil.

Ergonomics are AR-derived: an AR-adaptable pistol grip, ambidextrous safety, a full-length Picatinny top rail, and an adaptive stock adjustable from 12 to 15 inches of pull. The click-in polymer forend removes without tools for gas system access, and the receiver breaks down from the rear like an AR. Every MAX is manufactured at Derya's Jacksonville, Florida facility.
