Overview

The P385-COMP pairs SIG Sauer's P385 platform with an integrally compensated Nitron stainless steel slide cut for SIG-LOC PRO optics. SIG says the integrated compensator works with the SIG Recoil Dampening System and an extremely low bore axis to reduce muzzle rise and speed sight recovery. Under the comp is a 4-inch carbon steel bull barrel; the pistol measures 7.9 inches long, 1.32 inches wide, and 5.64 inches tall, and weighs 29.12 ounces with a magazine.

The rest of the gun matches the P385-CARRY. The new fire control unit carries a Trigger Block that SIG describes as a redundant drop safety that stays flush with the trigger face, the polymer grip module takes interchangeable MagStrap components for small, medium, or large circumference and a 17-round or 15-round flush grip length, and the controls are fully ambidextrous with a shielded slide release.

The 385F-9-COMP ships with one 17-round and two 21-round steel P320 magazines, so spare mags are the standard P320 pattern; original round-basepad P320 magazines need the P385's metal magwell removed. SIG lists the P320 AXG magwell and P-Series dovetailed iron sights as the only other cross-compatible parts, and P320 and P365 holsters do not fit. The SIG-LOC PRO cut direct-mounts RMR and DPP footprint optics without an adapter plate, and XRAY3 day/night sights come standard.

Capability Profile

0-10 Scale Across 8 Axes

Pros

  • +Integrated compensator needs no separate muzzle device
