3/8in AR500 Steel Target Plate Rack

A plate rack is the drill that separates shooters who can transition from shooters who can only shoot groups, and this is the version that does not cost as much as a rifle. Four or six 8-inch plates cut from domestic 3/8-inch AR500 hang from rubber straps on speed rack hangers, so each plate swings and rings instead of sitting dead. The box also includes a pair of 2x4 gong stand brackets, so the shopping list on top of it is short but real: a 48 to 60 inch 2x4 crossmember, four legs between 60 and 80 inches, and the carriage bolt and spring hardware the speed rack hangers need, none of which ship with the rack. Because the plates are 3/8-inch AR500 rather than the thin pistol steel most racks use, this one is rated the same as the maker's rifle plates, through .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor at the published distances.
