Dead Air
Low-backpressure titanium .45 ACP can with Triskelion gas management
The Dead Air Mojave 45 is Dead Air's latest dedicated .45 can and the low-backpressure answer for a semi-auto .45 host. Its patent-pending Triskelion Gas Management System routes gas to cut back pressure, so blowback and gas to the face drop on tilting-barrel pistols and blowback PCCs where trapped gas is the usual complaint. Dead Air markets it as their quietest .45 ACP suppressor, pairing that low back pressure with strong acoustics on the naturally subsonic .45 round.
The body is 6AL-4V DMLS titanium over aluminum and stainless, offered in black or FDE Cerakote, and it runs modular between a 6.812-inch short and 8.6-inch long configuration at 10.44 and 12.7 ounces. It ships with a .578x28 Mojave piston and works across tilting-barrel and fixed-barrel hosts, with additional pistons and front caps available for other pitches. It is full-auto rated for pistol calibers up to .45 ACP with no barrel-length restriction, so unlike the semi-only Osprey it will also run subgun duty.
At a $1,099 MSRP it sits at the top of the .45 field on price, so it earns its slot for the shooter who specifically wants a titanium build with the lowest back pressure, not the buyer chasing the cheapest rated can. If gas blowback on your suppressed .45 is the problem you are solving, the Mojave is the current answer.
