SilencerCo
Eccentric-bore 9mm pistol can that sits below the sight line for unobstructed iron sights
The SilencerCo Osprey 9 2.0 is the suppressor that built the eccentric-bore category. Its offset polygonal body positions the bore high in the tube so the can sits below the host's sight line, letting a pistol's factory iron sights stay usable without suppressor-height sights. At 129.5 dB on 9mm it is competitive with round full-size cans while solving the sight-obstruction problem that plagues conventional pistol suppressors.
The 2.0 revision added a push-button quick-detach mount for fast, repeatable indexing onto the piston, replacing the original's tool-required attachment. The body measures 6.90 inches with a 1.30 by 1.75 inch cross-section and weighs 8.8 ounces, built from aluminum and 17-4 stainless steel with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish. It accepts SilencerCo's piston and fixed-spacer mounting hardware in multiple thread pitches, shipping with a 1/2x28 piston for the most common 9mm hosts.
The Osprey 9 2.0 is rated for 9mm and .300 Blackout subsonic. It is not full-auto rated and the welded core is not user-serviceable, so it is a semi-auto pistol and PCC can rather than a subgun workhorse. For a shooter running irons on a threaded Glock or similar handgun, nothing else keeps the sight picture clear like the Osprey.
