Anker
Foldable 24W dual-port solar charger for renewable device charging. PowerIQ technology, 3-4 hour phone charge in direct sun.
The Anker 24W Solar Panel transitions emergency power from finite (battery banks) to renewable (solar). Battery banks provide the immediate buffer, but they eventually deplete. When grid power is down for days or weeks, the ability to recharge those banks from sunlight provides indefinite device operation. This is the component that turns a 72-hour kit into an extended-duration capability.
The 24W output through high-efficiency SunPower monocrystalline cells charges a typical smartphone in 3-4 hours of direct sunlight. Dual USB-A ports with PowerIQ technology allow simultaneous charging of a phone and a battery bank, or two devices at once. The foldable design opens to approximately 26 x 11 inches for sun exposure and folds down to 11 x 6 inches for transport. The industrial-strength PET polymer face is weather-resistant, and the canvas housing provides durability for field use.
Practical expectations: output is proportional to sunlight intensity. Full 24W is achievable only in clear, direct sunlight with optimal panel angle. Cloud cover reduces output by 50-80%. Partial shade from trees kills output almost entirely. For best results, angle the panel perpendicular to the sun and reposition every 1-2 hours to track the sun's movement. Stainless steel eye-holes on each corner allow hanging from branches, clotheslines, or pack exteriors for walk-and-charge configurations.
