Overview
The Outdoor Edge WildLite is the simplest way to hand a hunter everything needed to take a deer from the field to the freezer. The six pieces are a caping knife for detail work around the face, a gut-hook skinner for opening the cavity and removing the hide, a flexible boning/fillet knife for separating meat from bone, a pair of gloves, and the Edge-X two-stage sharpener, all stored in a molded case.
The three knives are full-tang 420J2 stainless with blaze orange non-slip TPR handles, which grip when wet and stay visible if one gets set down outside. Outdoor Edge backs the kit with its Service for Life guarantee.
The WildLite is a knife kit, not a full butcher kit. There is no bone saw or rib spreader, so a hunter who quarters and saws at home will still want a saw. For the price, it replaces the random kitchen knives most first-time processors end up using.
