Gerber
Full-size multi-tool with center-axis driver for maximum torque. One-hand opening blade and robust construction for tactical use.
The Gerber Center-Drive addresses the fundamental limitation of traditional multi-tool bit drivers: the offset axis that reduces torque and makes precision work difficult. By positioning the bit driver on the center axis of the tool, the Center-Drive delivers true screwdriver-like rotation and maximum torque transfer. This design allows you to drive screws with the same force and precision as a dedicated driver, making it superior for scope mounting, rail attachment, and accessory installation.
The spring-loaded pliers reduce hand fatigue during extended use, automatically returning to the open position between squeezes. The 420HC stainless steel blade opens one-handed and locks securely, providing a reliable cutting implement for field use. The full-size frame accommodates larger hands and provides leverage for demanding tasks, though it does result in a heavier tool (9.9 oz) than compact alternatives.
The Center-Drive includes 14 tools total: needle-nose pliers, wire cutters, blade, pry bar, bottle opener, awl, file, ruler, and the signature center-axis driver with included bits. The tool ships with a MOLLE-compatible sheath and a comprehensive bit set covering common fastener types. While it lacks the AR-specific tools of the Leatherman MUT, the Center-Drive's superior driver ergonomics make it the better choice for users who prioritize fastener work over malfunction clearing.
