Nexus Firearms Springfield KUNA Rare Breed FRT L3 Trip

The Nexus Springfield KUNA Rare Breed FRT L3 Trip is the part that makes a forced reset trigger work in a Springfield Kuna. It is not a trigger by itself. An AR-15 forced reset trigger resets off a trip surface that the AR bolt carrier presents as it returns to battery. The Kuna runs a proprietary roller-delayed carrier rather than an AR carrier, and Nexus sells this trip as the Kuna-specific part for use with FRTs.

Nexus lists the trip as specifically designed for the FRT-15L3 and Delta Team Tactical (DTT) drop-in forced reset triggers. It carries SKU K-2-004 and requires the Nexus AR-style Kuna lower; it will not work in the factory Springfield Kuna lower, whose fire control group is proprietary. Nexus sells the trip as a separate product from the lower, so a shooter can buy the lower first and add the forced reset path afterward.

Nexus does not sell Rare Breed triggers. Budget for the lower, this trip, the FRT itself, and an AR-15 grip and safety selector as four separate purchases. Confirm current federal and state law before ordering: forced reset triggers are restricted in 16 US jurisdictions.
