Nexus Firearms
Metal slip trip that lets a Super-Safety or Atrius Super-Selektor run in a Springfield Kuna. Requires the Nexus Kuna lower.
The Nexus Springfield KUNA Super-Safety Trip is the part that makes a forced reset selector work in a Springfield Kuna. It is not a selector and not a trigger. A Super-Safety is a selector cam that uses the bolt carrier's stroke to push your existing trigger forward. The Kuna runs a proprietary roller-delayed carrier rather than an AR carrier, and Nexus sells this trip as the Kuna-specific part for that job.
Nexus lists the trip as compatible with any standard Super-Safety as well as the Atrius Super-Selektor, under SKU K-2-003. It requires the Nexus AR-style Kuna lower and is explicitly not compatible with the OEM Springfield Kuna lower. Nexus strongly recommends installing a Super-Safety centering block spacer to keep the selector centered for best function; that spacer ships with most Super-Safeties rather than with this trip.
Trigger pairing matters on the Atrius path. Nexus states it tested the Atrius Super-Selektor with a RISE RA-140 drop-in trigger and that this is the only trigger it recommends when running Atrius. Nexus also reports the trip is compatible with the AS Designs selector but notes it has done limited in-house testing there and is relying on customer feedback. Nexus does not sell Super-Safeties, Atrius products, or any FRT, so the selector and trigger are separate purchases. Confirm current federal and state law before ordering: forced reset selectors fall in the same restricted class as forced reset triggers in 16 US jurisdictions.
