Overview
The Tac-Trap solves the problem of pocket-carried keys jingling against a spare magazine. It is a hinged 6061 aluminum clamp that slides onto a 1.5-inch belt and closes on a neodymium magnet, so a key ring, a pair of gloves, sunglasses, a rag, or ear protection can be trapped against the belt and pulled free with one hand. At 1 oz it adds essentially nothing to the belt.
The 1.5-inch size is the everyday-carry width, matching most EDC gun belts including the Alias Belt. NeoMag sells a wider 1.75-inch Tac-Trap for duty and battle belts, plus a MOLLE panel kit for chest rigs and packs. Nothing about it is holster-specific, which is the point: it is belt real estate for the objects that otherwise end up loose in a pocket.
