Bodyguard Armor
The full-sleeve version of Bodyguard's concealed armor line. Two 10x12 Level 3A panels inside a nylon jacket, with magnetic breakaway seals on the draw pockets and the same 5 lb worn weight as the vest.
The Operator is the jacket in Bodyguard's concealed armor line, sharing the Grayman vest's armor package and adding sleeves. The Level 3A configuration includes two 10 by 12 inch soft armor panels, and worn weight lands at 5 lb with the armor installed against 2 lb without it. Because the armor sits inside a patented Concealed Armor System rather than in an external carrier, the jacket keeps a normal outerwear silhouette.
Bodyguard is unusually specific about the protection envelope, and the specificity is worth quoting. The Level 3A armor stops all handguns, long and short barrel, including .357 SIG and .44 Magnum from longer barrel handguns, and stops buck and birdshot from shotguns. The page then states in capitals that there is no rifle ammunition protection. That is the honest boundary of soft armor, and it means this jacket is a handgun-threat garment, full stop. The linked ballistic certificate is NTS test documentation dated January 15, 2021.
The draw system is where the Operator differs from the Grayman. Bodyguard uses breakaway magnetic seals on the Hidden Draw System pockets rather than plain breakaway pockets, so the closure resets itself after it is pulled open. Two hidden chest utility pockets sit inside the same structure.
Sizing runs Small through 3X-Large against US jacket sizes 40 through 50, with no women's cut or women's sizing published. The shell is 100% nylon with full polyester ripstop pockets, GSM150 polyester insulation, and a nylon trim zipper, built as a water-resistant triple layer. The jacket is TSA compliant and made in the USA.
