The OPSol Mini-Clip 2.0 Flex is a small polymer adapter that drops into the loading port of a 12-gauge Mossberg 500/590/590A1/Shockwave/Maverick 88, helping the gun feed and cycle 1.75-inch Aguila mini shells. Without the adapter, mini shells can mis-feed and fail to present to the chamber.
The practical benefit on a Shockwave is significant: the factory tube holds more 1.75-inch shells than standard 2.75-inch shells, and mini-shell loads produce softer recoil. For a 14-inch firearm with no stock, that recoil reduction is the difference between controllable follow-up shots and a weapon that fights the shooter on every round.
Installation is tool-free. The clip snaps into the shell lifter area and is removable in seconds when switching back to full-size ammunition. The 2.0 Flex version uses a softer polymer than the original for easier installation and removal. The clip is under $20, making it one of the cheapest meaningful upgrades for any Mossberg shotgun or firearm.
