The Griffin Armament SN-ACH 15 (Suppressor Normalized Ambi Configurable Handle) Gen 2 takes a different engineering path to the same problem the Geissele ACH and Radian Raptor-SD solve: keeping suppressor gas out of the shooter's face. Where most gas-mitigating handles rely on a raised rear fence alone, the SN-ACH uses a hybrid system. For shooters running a can on a 10.3 to 14.5 inch AR, the SN-ACH 15 is a credible alternative to the more commonly recommended Geissele ACH at a lower street price. The forward-venting design tackles gas at its entry point rather than waiting to deflect it after it reaches the shooter, and the configurable latch addresses the one-size-fits-all complaint leveled at fixed-latch competitors. It is overkill for an unsuppressed range rifle, where a mil-spec handle or a basic ambi upgrade is the smarter spend, but it earns its price on a dedicated suppressor host.
