HB Industries
Drop-in 11.5mm extended charging handle that pulls the support hand off mounted optics and accessories.
The factory CZ Scorpion charging handle sits close to the receiver and runs straight into the back edge of any low-mounted optic or rail-attached light. The HB Industries Theta extends the handle 11.5mm forward of the receiver and replaces the polymer finger catch with machined 6061-T6 aluminum, finished with a MIL-A-8625 Type 3 hardcoat anodize. The charging rod itself is precision-ground 17-4 stainless steel with a black nitride finish, which holds up better to brass shavings and field abuse than the factory rod.
The Theta is fully ambidextrous and drops in without fitting in roughly two minutes. Finishes match the rest of the HBI Scorpion lineup at Black, Burnt Orange, or Red. HBI specifies the Theta for factory polymer handguards, since it sits flush with stock geometry; owners running an aftermarket aluminum handguard or the S2 Micro should pick the ProStock polymer charging handle instead, which is profiled to clear those rail systems.
Most Scorpion shooters install the Theta within their first three upgrades. It is the cheapest fix for the support-hand clearance complaint that defines stock Scorpion ergonomics.
