Overview

The factory charging handle is a small plastic wing on a non-reciprocating paddle behind the receiver. It is stiff and slick out of the box and sits where it fights a clean cheek-to-stock weld. M*CARBO's kit replaces it with an extended metal charging handle that runs a rapid deployment latch for a faster, more positive charging stroke, then bundles a CNC-machined Picatinny rail on the receiver so you can mount a red dot back near your eye instead of far forward on the FPC's factory forend rail. It installs as a direct replacement with no permanent modification to the carbine. At $149.95 it is the priciest single FPC upgrade M*CARBO sells, but it is a popular first upgrade, and it improves the two things you touch every time you run the gun: charging ergonomics and optic position.
