Overview
SLR Rifleworks cuts this AK ION 7.5 Lite specifically for the PSA AK-V, AK-P, and Mini Jack. The 7.5-inch 7075 aluminum rail ends flush with the front sight block, adds M-LOK on both sides and the bottom, and machines four QD sling sockets into the handguard.
AK-V installation uses SLR's MOD 1 handguard mount. The stock gas tube can remain in place, or the buyer can add SLR's optional AKV9 railed gas tube when a forward 1913 optic surface is part of the plan. The AKP and Lynx gas-tube options are different parts and should not be substituted.
SLR describes the handguard as a direct drop-in with no receiver modification. The main tradeoff is cost: the railed gas tube is a separate option, so a complete forward optic-mounting system costs materially more than the handguard alone.
